What The Museum Is, What It's Not
What It Is
The purpose of the Classic Home Video Games Museum is to introduce
(or re-introduce!) users to classic video games.
Most of the artwork was done by myself with the help of
a camera or camcorder, a paint program, and a lot of patience.
All of the narratives were written by me unless atrributed otherwise.
Special thanks to Jerry Greiner for letting me photograph some of
the rare treasures in his collection.

What It's Not
I'll always be
adding items to the Museum, but since I'm trying to keep it
general and introductory in nature, eventually, you'll
want more than I have!
rec.games.video.classic is a GREAT
place to ask questions. I often get asked questions I can't answer and
refer people to that newsgroup, so check it out!

Newsgroups
- rec.games.video.classic
is the "main" group and the most active (about 100 messages per day).
- alt.games.video.classic
doesn't have the propagation that r.g.v.c has and doesn't usually have any
information you won't find in r.g.v.c anyway.
- rec.games.video.arcade.collecting
concentrates on arcade standups, including classic games.
- rec.games.vectrex
is devoted to the Vectrex.
- alt.atari.2600
is devoted to the Atari 2600 but like most "alt" groups, suffers
from bad propagation. However, it has a few regulars who aren't on
r.g.v.c.
- rec.games.video.marketplace
is a place to buy and sell video games. The majority of posts are
about non-classic systems, and most posts about classic systems are
also posted to r.g.v.c (to the dismay of many readers!).
